besides a razer hydra, as they are sadly no longer supported and have been discontinued by razer , I do NOT want something that murders batteries, (prefer corded) I want to be able to play wii motion plus tittles tho.. also, are there any wiimotes with plus that aren't that stupid TR crap? my GS no longer has any originals in stock

are there any other unique controllers out there like the hydra that have profiles for dolphin? (like the hydra)

A Wii Remote Plus -TR with a Toshiba supporting dongle is actually quite nice. The Toshiba stack actually fixes a number of minor wiimote bugs. Most famously, the random wiimote disconnects when enable speaker data is active in DKC Returns and Metroid Prime 3/Tri.

i assume these "bugs" you speak of, occur with the original wii motion plus remotes? the ones that have the motion plus built into the remote, but still work with the microsoft stack? I would much prefer to use the built in microsoft stack. i tried the toshiba one and it wasnt as straightforward to me. I just cant seem to find where the original microsoft compatible wii motion plus remotes are sold... :-\

And the original Wiimotes without motion plus. The MS stack is just, well, crappy. It's missing functions that bluetooth is supposed to have, hence why the MS stack doesn't work with -TR wiimotes while the Linux bluetooth stack and the Toshiba stack work fine with them.

hmmm. maybe you can answer something for me.... I have been googling and looking around everywhere for an answer, but cant seem to find one. I have a Bluetooth remote that I wanna use for a media center, and using 3 different Bluetooth usb adapters, I cannot get windows to wake from sleep using this remote, or any Bluetooth device (mice & keyboard included). could it be because of the Microsoft stack? would the Toshiba stack wake from sleep? I have a modern PC which allows any usb device to wake from sleep states. Regular usb devices work, but Bluetooth shuts off completely once windows goes to sleep. it works fine in Linux and OSX, but windows 7, nor windows 8 does not wake from sleep. :-\ Perhaps I should give the Toshiba stack a second chance, but I uninstalled it because after a 30 day period, it started nagging me about paying for it, plus I remember my old wii remotes being able to permanently pair with Microsoft stack. I couldn't figure that out on Toshiba stack.
I ended up updating to windows 8.1 (preview of course) because I read of some sort of Bluetooth "enhancements" but it still did not fix the issue. I was planning on doing a reformat and clean install anyway, so im holding off until the update gets released until then. (yes, I personally prefer windows 8 lol)

Well I don't know anything about bluetooth remotes, but you may need to use the device manager to set the wake settings for the device.

No I've tried all that. Power management settings, registry hacks, bios settings, etc. all the obvious stuff. I don't know what the issue is, but its pissing me off lol. I ordered a new Bluetooth adapter off eBay though that specifically claims to allow "wake-on-Bluetooth" so crossing my fingers on that. I actually managed to install toshiba stack last night though. Before, on Microsoft stack, the Bluetooth would shut off as windows went to sleep, but with toshiba stack, it now stays powered on during sleep, but still can't get devices to wake. Ugh...

As for windows 8, its just personally felt snappier to me, and I also have an HTPC setup, with it hooked to my TV, so metro and the overall flat look just fits better to me. Its a little bland, but it seems easier to see than windows 7. Lol
