maybe thats because it supports EFB better? how do you know when EFB is added to D3D that it wont be just as slow?

Because with opengl I get 7 fps in some places, and in those same places I get 21 fps with direct3d. I dont think adding efb copy to direct3d is going to slow it down 300 % I am still convinced that there is a bug in dolphin code ( or opengl plugin ) which causes these slowdowns in zelda tp. It is fixed now in direct3d,but nobody still knows how or why or what bug it was exactly. It was fixed by chance by rodolfoosvaldobogado. He doesnt know why his changes fixed it What I am trying to say is that before rodolfoosvaldobogado changes direct3d was also as slow as opengl even slower, and it didn't have efb copy Bottom line : I am convinced slowdowns in zelda tp are not caused by efb copy, but by some bug in dolphin / plugins As far as I know,it's posible to completely disable efb copy in opengl ? I get like 10 % improvement...still not even close to 300 % 10-09-2009, 03:52 AM
In any case, playing without the minimap works fine (hard mode!)
+ Bigger amount of screen visible. It's most annoying when tracking down those shadow-bugs things.

Yeah, I agree!
It would be awesome to see the minimap, but I don't care about it thaaaaat much. So I'll just wait. Even so, opening the map all the time is a little annoying >_> 10-10-2009, 09:50 AM
I dont even open the map, I learned to live without that, and as I enter the rooms I map the dungeons in my head...
