what if sony, nintendo etc. released a PC version of all the console platform from NES games to present, ps1 to present etc.

will dolphin, pcsx2, ppsspp and other emulator exist on the PC???

They wouldn’t release a emulator because that would take sales away from their consoles and the backwards compatibility/virtual console titles.

They also wouldn’t due to piracy concerns and people would dump their games they already own instead of buying the game again. Or people would continue to use emulators cause they’re free.

Also there might be a legal issue in redistributing games that are made by third-party publishers, idk.

Tl;dr: they won’t do it, it won’t make them enough money, also maybe legal issues.
