I know the interpreter+software renderer aren't for fullspeed emulation, but what sort of hardware would it take to run it full speed with the most accurate settings and all hacks off etc. in a demanding game like Rogue Sqaudron or SMG1/2? (Those games are just examples. Could be outdated?)

Not even a Power8 processor could do that

Yeah, but what hardware would it have to be exactly?

Let me be clear: currenty there's no CPU that can handle Dolphin Interpreter at full speed, not even close, especially when pairing it with software renderer...
Avell A70 MOB: Core i7-11800H, GeForce RTX 3060, 16 GB DDR4-3200, Windows 11 (Insider Preview)
ASRock Z97M OC Formula: Pentium G3258, GeForce GT 440, 16 GB DDR3-1600, Windows 10 (22H2)

I know that but what clock speed would the CPU have to be for it to run full speed?

How can anyone know if the required hardware has not yet been made?
Windows 7™ 64-bit
ASUS P8Z77-V LX Motherboard
Intel® Core™ i5-3570K 4.2GHz
Nvidia GeForce GTX 770

Because no hardware has even come remotely close to running it at fullspeed! Dolphin's software renderer was made for absolute accuracy, not speed.

The interpreter is not even close to optimized for speed; it probably be made 2 or 3 times faster without much work.

It's hard to say "what hardware you'd need" if humanity has not yet achieved any technology within an order of magnitude of what is necessary.

Wait so are we including supercomputers?  Cause I feel like a million dollar CPU in some NASA base could plough through the interpreter.

I'm very certain they don't use any supercomputers based on x86_64 or any other architecture that Dolphin currently run in top of. They're "super" computers for a reason -- there's a lot of different architectures way faster than x86 regarding this aspect...
