Hi Guys. I'm running in 1080p with mostly default settings and my FPS in Super Mario Galaxy 2 is only between 30-60. With an average of 45.

I have an i7 860 quad core, and two GTX 480s.

Also, When I use the LLE recompiler. I get audio stuttering and it's pretty much unusable in all games.

Is there something messed up with my system?
Im using 3.0, and I have my resolution set to auto window size and my display resolution is 1080p. This is so frustrating. I've seen youtube videos with guys who are supposedly running it at over 60-100 fps in 1080p. How is this possible?

Don't use LLE back end unless you have i5 2500k/i7 2600k run at 4.4Ghz+
You can overclock that CPU to gain more FPS , 3.4ghz should be fine for SMG2
BTW dolphin don't support SLI nor Crossfire

It plays well overall, it just sucks that the music cuts out. I'll get a new CPU in the fall for Zelda!!

It's still crazy that a computer that can run Metro 2033 at 60fps can't run a freaking wii game. Why don't they make the Dolphin use the GPU instead of the CPU?

That sentence makes about as much sense as asking "why can't we just kill the sea spirits so that the tsunamis will stop?". It's so weird that I don't know where to begin explaining what's wrong with it.

1. Because in most situations writing a program that runs completely on the GPU is pretty much impossible. Since the GPU is a coprocessor not the central processor.

2. A GPU lacks the instruction set architecture necessary for running most general purpose applications (since it is not a general purpose processor). It definitely isn't sufficient for emulating a CPU architecture.

3. Outside of some very specialized data modeling/physics/graphics applications the vast majority of applications will run MUCH faster on a CPU than a GPU even if they could be rewritten to do most of their work on a GPU. This is due to a long list of architectural differences too long to get into here.

I suggest you do some research on google. It seems you lack some basic knowledge about computer programming/hardware.

Because that's a program that is designed for your native hardware, it does not require emulation.

I've always wondered that. We all know the evil bastard sea spirits are responsible for tsunamis that kill thousands, but what is the government doing to stop them? NOTHING! We need to start a facebook page or something.

Seriously. Mario Galaxy 2 is a blast with the Dolphin. I'm playing in 3D and the effect is amazing. Just wish the music wouldn't cut out on non LLE DSP. Wind Waker is also great and no music cut out for that game without LLE.
