Hi guys, I am diving headfirst into Dolphin and am looking to get the most out of it. I'm curious to know exactly what files would be needed to run a 100% perfectly emulated NTSC-US Wii console even if development of Dolphin isn't quite there yet.
I know there are some files that are simply copyrighted and cannot be shipped with Dolphin, and I'm trying to figure out what I need.
I know that I need the Wii System Menu .wad file and either a NAND file or multiple NAND files(?), but I don't know exactly what. There were a couple of games that utilized DLC and I know the NAND file(s) are absolutely required to get the DLC 'installed' to an emulated Wii, but exactly what files are needed, I don't know.
Also, a retail Wii came with pre-loaded channels, such as the Mii Channel, Wii Shop Channel, Everybody Votes Channel, Photo Channel, News Channel, Nintendo Channel, and Weather Channel, as well as a few others, I think, so I know I need those too.
I have a Wii System Menu (4.3U) .wad file as well as the Mii Channel and Wii Shop Channel .wad files, however, using NUS Downloader, the only Mii and Wii Shop Channels available are 'World' versions, which seems a little odd because the birthday is displayed in a DD/MM format when creating a Mii using the Mii Channel, and I'm pretty sure an actual North American Wii displayed it in a MM/DD format, so shouldn't there be an NTSC-US version of the Mii Channel? The icon displayed in the Dolphin game list also (obviously) shows a U.N. flag.
I think I've read too that you need a couple of DSP ROM files (dsp_rom.bin & dsp_coef.bin) in order to run the more accurate DSP LLE emulation, correct? Is there anything else needed for low-level emulation?
Could someone post a list of every last thing I'd need to get the most accurate emulation out of Dolphin? I'm not asking for links to any of these files or anything, I'd just like to know what's needed.
Thanks!
