Just wondering if Vsync increases game speed at all and does it cause any problems? Any help would be awesome! Thanks

Having vsync on can give an 'impression' of smoother gameplay - if there's noticeable screen tearing without it on, that is.

For future reference for the OP, Dolphin does attempt to do some explaining about itself. If you hover over some options, a brief description appears. Vsync mentions that it reduces tearing. It's not very in-depth, but it might save you the time of having to google around.

If you're using Aero Glass you're already getting vsync.
