So after seing all this intersting collective effort happening on the web, such as Wikipedia/Dolphin etc., I got the idea of writing an open source novel.
Do you think it would just become a mess, or could it end up as a decent book? I doubt it would be a masterpiece in any way, but it would at least gain the publicity of being "the first ever open source novel" (Unless I'm terribly mistaken here...)

LOl at that Big Grin
I thing the book would be a guranteed succes! hey, why not make it a fairytale?

''once upon a time there was an emu, whose name was *drums* DOLPHIN, he was known for many brave fights and victories over the ''perfrect games''. There are many few who survived to dolphin's wii emulation wrath and fury, and those games have run away, and have been stamped as INCOMPATIBLE.
altho dolphin is 5000rev old, he's a tough emu....bal bla bla....yada yada yada...'' Smile Big Grin Tongue

The idea seems great when you're high on weed staring at the dolphin forum index on you computer at 2 am, but when you actually start to think about it, you realize that it could get very messy, even if you hand pick the people for the project (good writers), their conflicting ideas and styles will get on the way of getting something done fluently, usually something like a screenplay is written by one person and then revised by others but mainly just for grammar and spell checks or continuity, that's not just some silly work flow, its done that way for a reason though you probably know that.

However, it would be a cool experiment but just for shits and giggles like the one I tried as mentioned by Diddy.
