The mouse pointer option info thing used to be broken on OS X, but some revision (I think it was the wxWidgets 3 update) from a few months ago fixed it. That update was after 3.0, though, so it's still broken in 3.0. Try the current revision (3.0-809) from here: http://dolphin-emu.org/download/
Be aware that newer revisions will be more stable and compatible than 3.0, but they'll also be noticeably slower.
Also be aware that there are lighting issues with almost any Nvidia graphics card under OS X, which will be quite annoying. It won't be fixed until delroth gets his hands on a Mac with the bug, so that may take a while.
