Make sure you buy Asrock Z77 mobo

I found that brands don't matter much, even reputable manufacturers make bad apples.

Narrow down what hardware you want and sort the results by highest user rating, then choose a board that fits your budget. Wink
CPU: Intel i7-4790K
GPU: AMD HD 6870
Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth Z97 Mark 2
RAM: 8GB DDR3

Running Dolphin x64 on Windows 8.1

Because only Asrock Z77 mobo has "No-K OC" function
i5 3450 can oc from 3.1GHz to 3.9GHz on Asrock Z77 mobo
The other brands don't have this fuction , you can't overclock that much

Quote:Zelda tp 25-30 fps in hirule field I will be happy.(for me) i don't need to play 60 fps
Fullspeed for Zelda TP :
Pal version : 25 FPS
NTSC version : 30 FPS
60 FPS is double-speed . I doubt you could play at that speed

what do you want to mean , if i use a phenom or i3 i would play zelda tp to 25-30 in hyrule field (after goron's )?
i have the NTSC version of the game .
right now i can play in this part at 18 - 20 FPS on IR x2 ,
the phenom and i3 are 3 or 4 time better my Athlon II X2 250.

Same clock speed : i5/i7 Ivy Bridge > i3/i5/i7 Sandy Bridge > i3/i5/i7 Nehalem > Core 2 Duo/Core 2 Quad >= Phenom II
i3 2100 is Sandy Bridge CPU...
You can't get more than 25/30 FPS because it has the same framerate on the real console - Wii and the game developer design it that way
Some 50/60 FPS games : SMG , New Super Mario Bros , Smash Bros Brawl...
Some 25/30 FPS games : The Last Story , Zelda SS & TP & WW , Xenoblade ...

Exactly since you have ntsc version maximum fps you can achieve is 30 fps.
Then game will run fullspeed, there will be no slowdown.
What more do you want ? Smile

"K" is for "K processors" such as 2500/2600/3570K.
So you can understand what's the use of this MoBo function : possibilities to overclock processors that are not "easily" overclockable
