Can someone tell me how I can increase the speed and quality of my dolphin emulator games on my LG G3? I've tried experimenting on the settings but to no avail. It keeps freezing, dropping fps, and showing a distorted Luigi. According to my antutu benchmark I am Opengl3 capable. I have no problem running other emulators such as PPSSPP and Epsxe coz it runs buttery smooth. Pls help.

Are you using the latest dev builds, or the version from the play store

Other emulators are not nearly as demanding as dolphin. Not to mention that dolphin makes thorough use of OpenGL Es3.0, and exposes dozens of bugs within Qualcomm's hardware drivers. In addition the drivers are slow, and frankly the hardware isn't fast enough either. TLDR your device can't run dolphin smoothly because Qualcomm sucks.

Qualcomm isn't the reason the emulator is slow. While it is the reason for the freezing and distortions, Dolphin is slow on any hardware. You will still get lag with a Tegra K1 device.

I see. And here I thought it was the wrong move that I bought a new phone instead of a new tegra k1 tablet. I am planning to replace my current tablet soon, any suggestion other than tegra k1?

The shield is the fastest tablet available. Unless another tablet has a specific feature you really want/need, you can't do any better than shield.

I am having a good time using dolphin on my shield tablet. While 30FPS is not perfect it is definitely playable.

Wait for the dual-core "Super-core" 64 bit version, as it has two really fast cores, which is better for Dolphin.

The problem with that is we have no idea if any android devices well even get the 64 bit K1. So far we have 2 K1 32 bit devices after half a year.
