I doubt 5-6 will bring a similar performance increase to 4-5. The CPU is 100% faster but now we are limited on the gpu thread. Maybe it will get faster, though.

Yeah Dolphin already had big performance improvements lately. Devs do their best to improve speed when it's possible but you can't expect Dolphin to run well on weak Intel HD Graphics and Pentium that don't have DirectX 12 or Vulkan support. Not to mention Dolphin is now focusing on removing hacks and better accuracy.
From France with love.

A drop down sd.raw menu. I play a lot of these brawl mods and I am pretty tired of going into my folder and renaming two files.

Also the ability to point to a specific folder for HD textures.

The SD card path is already configurable in recent dev builds, so this will probably end up being in 6.0.

Have you tried symlinks? Works like a charm for texture packs, though perhaps not on Windows.

It's a low-cost 2011 CPU design https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandy_Bridge#Mobile_platform .
It's the same as the desktop Celeron GT550T.
It's equipped with the small GPU with half as many execution units.

The CPU is fine for medium games, the GPU is way too weak.

I hate to break your bubble and to be that guy on the internet, but your specs are really that weak and outdated. I was never meant that Dolphin was fully playable on that kind of hardware. You might have more luck with emulators for older Nintendo systems such as Project64 or VBAM. You should really consider upgrading your hardware if you want to have an enjoyable experience with Dolphin.

Other than that... We want UBERSHADERS! Just because it sounds UBER! I guess it is the nr. 1 requested feature around here. Ohh, having a toggle button to bind to my keyboard for "Dump Textures" and "Load Custom Textures" would be nice too.

No idea what that is but I am on Windows.

Right... I was supposed to do that.

I got busy during feature freeze, then when we finally got out of freeze I was too busy to work on Dolphin and now I'm having fun with other projects.

I'll see if I can get a PR up for that tonight.

Symbolic links (sometimes called junctions) work perfectly on Windows; I use them for all of my custom textures and it works beautifully. Just do some Googling and you should find a guide for symlinking folders on Windows.
