Custom models would be neat. Even if it is too hard to do on anything that's animated, just upping the polycount of some games' environment geometry could help a lot.
What are some things you would like to see in Dolphin 6.0?

I don't know if that's feasible because I'm pretty sure each game has its own model format, so you would need to do it per-game (just like the "custom audio" proposal). But I admit I'm not very well-versed in this, so if a dev wants to tell me I'm wrong, I'm sure that would make plenty of people happy :P

I'd like to see a "FastMemoryCardSpeed" option to complement the "FastDiscSpeed" option. There was some talk of doing this when memory card speed emulation was first added, but sadly it never came to fruition.

Exclusive fullscreen for D3D12 would be nice for less input lag. I want to use that backend for melee.

1) support for vulkan api (will improve amd cards preformance a lot)
2) the option to automatically save when the game save in wii (so you will not need to use shift+f1 to save and f1 to load everytime) 08-14-2016, 09:55 AM
D3D12 already gives great performance to AMD cards, I don't see why everyone is clamoring for Vulkan.
I'd like something like the open-source Blender's subdivision surface tool in the future (example below). It's far from perfect, and I know some unofficial versions have a similar function, but from my experience it can look/work better than such functions.

A GPU that's too old for DirectX 12 to be supported isn't going to see a major speedup from Vulkan, even if a driver for it were to exist. That means that that isn't a great reason why that should happen. (Enough "that"s for you?)
However, Vulkan has the big advantage of being open, so it can potentially work on more things (such as Linux and Android), which gives it multiple practical advantages.
