What am I doing wrong?

Trying to run some games and even lowest resolution, lowest everything, I can run at only like 25fps. I can run Skyrim HD at insane gfx, but not like super mario new ? -___-

3.4ghz amd quad core phenom 2 black edition,
amd radeon 6790
8gb ram
dolphin 3.0-766-dirty (latest i think)

Is dx9 the best setting to use? I even tried openGL. I'm looking at youtube video of this guy with SAME video card and worse cpu running at 60fps etc:

Actually , his CPU is faster than yours clock for clock (I'm only talking about Dolphin) but your CPU is more than enough for NSMB . There is no way you can't get fullspeed on this game

Dolphin uses 2 cores ( +1 if you enable "LLE on thread")
Check your CPU temp and clock speed with "Coretemp" when dolphin is running

Use efb copy to texture and enable it in the game .ini file.
