For some reason, Dolphin is really really crashy today. I have no idea why. Since it affects every version and setting I've tried (that were fine yesterday), and this has never happened before (and it one time lead to a blue screen); I'm assuming it's my computer. There is only one hint I have: when i turned my computer on today, windows came up with the select OS screen, saying it didn't shutdown properly. I shut it down myself, and didn't notice anything weird, so I was like huh and moved on. That curious incident and the cryptic and mostly unhelpful windows crash details are all I have to go on; everything else is completely normal. Prime GCN and Melee usually run for 10-20 minutes, but I can't even finish a 5 stock match in Brawl. Anyone have any ideas what's going on?

Here are some crash reports I've collected. Seems pretty random.

Did a system restore. It was working great for quite a while... I thought I fixed it! But now it's crashing again. Sad

Sorry for the triple post, but no one else is posting here so sue me.

And it just started working today. I tried restarting more than once yesterday, to no effect. Yet today, I turned it on, and it was gone. Played brawl and prime 1 each for over an hour, not a single crash. What the @#%&#! happened?

I think admin89 is right! May be troubles in the driver itself!! Try to download a new version Smile

Well, it has been doing it intermittently here and there since it cleared up, but it's better. Still, it's definitely disconcerting. I've been noticing some visual oddities here and there leading up to and since the crashing spree. I launch prime and just... black. Or it shows white blocks instead of the opening titles. Or sometimes pushes all the rendering to the lower right corner. Weird weird stuff. My only guess is... the GPU is messing up, possibly dieing. After I got it (used) nearly two years ago, I immediately I overclocked it, but it has no voltage control, so it's always been a little iffy. Disappointing, but it held in almost every game, and the GPU kinda needed it (the 275 is kinda old), so I left it and forgot about it. And it was pushing the speeds of a 460 after I spent $100 on the 275, which is NICE. But uh, all that time overclocked may have damaged it. I had the fan set up with a heat based speed increase, so I know it didn't overheat, but still... It didn't handle that overclock very well. I've disabled the overclock and I'm going to see how it works from here. The visual anomalies immediately stopped, but I have had one crash since, but otherwise it's good so far. I hope it's alright.

Because this is a new problem that slowly creeped up, I don't believe it is driver related. and I've heard some bad stuff about the latest drivers so I'm a little wary to leave 296 (not to mention I have dialup and it would take days to get the new ones).
