Wanted to play Xenoblade Chronicles for the second time, now on Dolphin for some HD action. I remember trying it a few months ago on the same Ishiiruka build, but I didn't have this issue: when changing controls from the default kb+m to my Logitech F310, the game doesn't recognize inputs. My controller clearly works, it's recognized in Dolphin settings too - but not in the game. Furthermore, when I try to go back to the default kb+m, the game stops registering inputs from them too. Clean Dolphin installation works perfectly fine when starting the game without changing controls. However, I can change other settings like graphical options without any problem. At this point I tried two different builds of Ishiiruka and Dolphin 5.0 and I have no idea where this issue came from.

Did you map the controls to a Classic Controller (or Wiimote+Nunchuk)? This game doesn't support GameCube controllers.

Wow... now I feel really dumb. It was actually that easy:
Controllers > Wii Remotes > Emulate the Wii's Bluetooth Adapter > Wii Remote 1: Emulated Wii Remote > Configure > Extension: Classic Now that I think about it, when I tried Xeno months ago, I didn't even use my controller, I just went with the default kb+m (maybe changed some buttons, but nothing more) to see how the game runs on my pc. Thank you! Out of curiosity though, why does the game stops reading kb+m when I change it to something else and then reroll to the default? |
