im guessing that if u switch over to intel u would need a whole new motherboard, ram, the whole 9. honestly the best venue for playing dolphin would be the enthusiast build listed here, plugged into a nice big flat screen hdtv. but who has the money for all that? 
u can try getting a newer gfx card and see what kind of fps u get but it will propably only be enough to play low end games.
