Was the latest x86 build (4.0-1609-x86) free of x86 specific bugs?

If compatibility mode doesn't fix it, emulators and virtual machines will.

If only a VM let you take advantage of the graphical enhancements possible with the real GPU driver under the host OS, it would be a perfect solution.

If the Wikipedia article is accurate, it apparently doesn't work with XP as the guest OS, which disqualifies it in my case. Thanks for pointing that out, though, as it's the first I've heard of any VM being able to take full advantage of a GPU's features. Maybe VMware will add such functionality at some point. It seems that virtualisation software hasn't focused on such features yet, since it's mostly aimed at the business market, rather than gamers.
