Wow, what did I miss?
Was I sleeping too long, or is Wand Waker working insanely well?

There were a lot of fixes including Zelda HLE microcode, and lots of other things...

Nice, someone who doesn't flame that <old revision> is working much faster and the devs should kill themselves. I really love this thread, even though I'm pretty sure it'll be closed soon enough because this belongs in the "Thank You" thread.

Well, two things that were making Wind Waker slow were heavily improved on (namely, audio and CPU, but don't quote me on CPU being an old bottleneck in WW), and a bunch of bugs affecting wind waker were fixed. Well, that is, if you're talking about between 4.0.2 and the current development versions.

I'm getting a few slowdowns with the newer versions with dx11. It happens in some scenes or places like in windfall when you approach the group of bad kids. That and it lags before some scenes, it always lags a bit right before the sequence of grabbing an item from a chest. As far as I remember all of that didn't happen back in dolphin rev 4366 and a much slower cpu. I haven't tried opengl backend though.

Your current CPU* is too slow (and old) for WW.

You shouldn't be seeing any slowdowns with that CPU.
Try: Installing the latest drivers for everything, everything installed through Windows Update, and download/run DirectX Web Updater |
