Wanting to Link Dolphin and VBA-M for Trading Between Pokemon Colosseum and Emerald

Question
I've looked around and can't find any info that seems very up-to-date on this issue. My guess is that not a ton of people try it. So I decided to sign-up and try just asking.

Basically, I want to move pokemon I have on Pokemon Emerald on the VBA-M emulator to Pokemon Colosseum on the Dolphin Emulator, both emulators running on my computer at the same time.

I've read-up on some methods but they don't seem to really work anymore, even some menus have changed since they were written apparently.

So is this possible? Can someone step me through it? Sorry, I don't mean to be a bother or anything.

I have the latest Dolphin revision and VBA-M installed. My hardware and OS etc is listed in my profile though I doubt that's relevant.

Thanks.

- Alex

That video is from last year, I know it's for Four Swords but it should work relatively the same. You just need the right BIOS and try a couple times.

^ the GBA link works like that but I remember seeing that not all games are compatible so if you do that tutorial above and the game still does not work then it's possibly just one of the non working ones. I used it recently for the wind waker and it worked without issue.

Ah crap, well that sucks. I thought Pokemon would be an easier game to do it on since you just trade using it and not actually play co-op together or something.

According to most tutorials I've read it was possible at one time. But I guess now it doesn't for some reason? Damn.

Yeah that part in the video where he shows all the 4 controller ports in the emulator - that doesn't exist in Dolphin anymore it seems. And that's just the first thing wrong I noticed.

If anyone knows a work-around don't be shy to post it. Thanks.
