Laptops are a joke when it comes to power without spending double or triple what a decent desktop costs. The facts stand that they are never great for gaming so if people have to do it regardless, others usually tell them it's pretty futile. Sure if there's no other option, you live with it, but most people just want gaming laptops to lay on a bed or go to school with it; just easier to buy a cheaper and more powerful desktop and cheapo laptop for notes and internet on the go.
I'll tell why I bought a gaming-notebook and not a better gaming-pc with the same price:
Last year I moved away from my parents because of big problems with those retards, so I only had my old HP office notebook and I don't have place for a Desktop PC at my current room. So I wanted to get a good notebook for everything. I knew from the beginning that I will never will be able to get 100000000 points from the benchmarks.
I perfectly know that desktops have often 150% more power than a little notebook, anyway it's my job to know that. (Yes this is a tiny part of my job)
Well, this was never my question, too!
The Asus G73JH has enough power to run the newest games on very high and also runs the dolphin emulator perfectly at many games.
The key is that my RAM is maybe the problem...they placed Hynix-shit in it. Also the typical problem could be that I only have two HDDs in it and no SSD which could speed up loading and writing sequences.
So what can I do for getting this great emulator to work more fast with my intel I7 quad-core (2 threads per core)? 1,6 - 3 Ghz [TB + OC]
Is it maybe my ram? (like I alrady told I think this could be part of the performance-fuck-down)
Greetings...
