If you knew that you were planning on stretching the 4:3 video to 16:9 anyway then I would think that looking for an actual native widescreen option would be a bit of priority (or a widescreen hack for games that lack such a function) so that you wouldn't have to stretch at allMy aspect ratio is (always) set to force 16:9, so it was stretched there. I didn't stretch the video.
I had to switch to D3D and just realized widescreen hack was unchecked. I thought it didn't work so I didn't bother.
It's not like I was going to play it.

You can't expect everyone to have all the time in the world to set everything up right.
Quote:I always got annoyed with how TimeSplitters Future Perfect always asks every time right when you start the game if you want to enable widescreen, but perhaps they had the right idea...No, that's just plain annoying.
Quote:Also I just had another thought, if you wanted to maximize YouTube's rendering resolution then you really should keep it to 4:3 because their absolute maximum video render resolution is 4096x3072, aka "4:3 4k".There was no intention of maximizing it on YouTube. All I was going for was the 4K option to see how it would handle a fast-paced game like F-Zero.

Rules Wrote:Piracy post reporting and forum etiquette: We're not investigating/searching for reasons to ban. Asking too many questions, like, "where did you get the game", is none of your business. Not knowing how to dump a game is not an admission of guilt. If you mention downloading, you get banned. If you don't mention it, nothing happens, we then all assume you own the game. Do not harass forum users or report them unless they admit to downloading illegal content.
Again, why is this so surprising? I own many games I have not even touched yet.
A modern example I can give you is Steam. Plenty of people own games they haven't even played yet.
