Ok so I do know about real wiimote disconnections from other posts. But, at least on my r5081 using mouse I get same problem.
However, from my observation this happens ONLY when letting controls idle for few minutes. During gaming its all ok, but when some longer cutscenes kick or when I leave computer for a while and come back in just few minutes, I get disconnection message. I can reconnect so thats ok but still, for an emulated wiimote isn't it kinda strange?

that's weird, i thought they fixed that a while ago, but i think it happened to me once after the rev that supposedly solved the issue.

it was just kinda annoying before when you couldn't reconnect. i don't think its a big issue now Smile

There should be an option "auto-reconnect"

Happens *extremely rare* for me though (in dead space)

P.S.: Mouse feels great as a wiimote. I've also ordered a real one, lol.

At least in r5081, there is no auto-reconnect - for virtual wiimote. Its also not *extremely rare*, it happen always and in any WII game - just leave it idle for few minutes(up to 10-15min should be enough). I though this happened with real one only because maybe some bluetooth protocol problems or such, I don't understand why with virtual one too.

Why would I leave it idle for 10 minutes ? Anyway, maybe the "wii console" tries to put the wiimote to sleep after a while to conserve battery.

maybe you need to take a crap of something.

and i think the wii does exactly that, puts the wiimote to sleep, and the pc doesn't, that's why batteries keep draining. (some people say)

Maybe we could start an issue for this, or is there one already ?

Seems pretty important emulation-wise, especially for real wiimotes.

Its not stopper but it can be annoying and if its doable, why not. It actually happened to me at least few times during gameplay, In games that have longer cutscenes or when you have to think a bit during gameplay before taking action. Other times when I just take quick break to eat something or go piss, then I see always upon return reconnection dialog ;-))

Yes, we know about this issue already. No need to report it. The reason why is explained by Apostacious above. How about we vote for how it works in a poll?
