Virtual memory card not working

My memory cards aren't working properly. I tried looking around for a fix but I can't find anything helpful. Help? using version 5.0-321

What goes wrong when you try to use them?

There is no reason to use 5.0-321 except for smash netplay, and that uses cheats instead of memory cards.

Or rather, other than Smash netplay, there's no reason to prefer 5.0-321 in particular over any other version.
