Good morning, I've seen the game Virtua Striker 3 is emulated pretty well, but only the USA version.Tongue
Now I wanted to know if it is possible to add compatibility even for PAL edition (it is Italian localized, my native language), since I made a lot of attempts to make it run, but it freezes in the "Caricamento..." start screen. Angry
If necessary, I could send the developers the .gcz (or .gcm) file Big Grin , that I personally ripped several times, one using CleanRip, and the other one using the appropriate DVD reader and Rawdump 2.0! The final image is working both on a Wii and on a real Gamecube, after burning it to a miniDVD!!!
Thank You very much!!!

Try switching to JITIL. It might work then.

Just tried your advice: it does NOT work: the games stays onto a black screen! I think it should be something into PAL version, since USA version is about 100Mb bigger than PAL!
Something in PAL should have been modified, but I do not know what!!!
By the way, thanks for answering me, I hope Dolphin compatibility will grow day by day, expecially with Metroid series (Prime 1 and 2, then Trilogy); it seems Metroid Other M is perfect, I have to try it!

May you tell me, please, how to make the PAL version work? I've got the iso shrinked with gcm utility 0.5! Or should I use the not-shrinked iso? If you are able to use the pal version, is it a problem for you to write me down all settings you are using?
In case it can be of public interest, using latest version 4.0.1 (but even with 3.x was the same), all other games I've got work even shrinked.
Here are some other titles I have:

Metroid Prime
Metroid Prime 2 Echoes
PN 03
Eternal Darkness
Luigi's Mansion
Super Mario Sunshine
Resident Evil 2
Resident Evil 3

all of them are PAL versions!

Thank You very much in advance!

Dolphin does not always work with shrunk images. If you have problems, use the full sized version.

I tried even the full image but I found no way of making it run, while the usa version works great immediately, without setting up anything and with a great audio! All other games I have run even shrunked.
However, thanks a lot to You and the other developers and users for helping me!

Sorry for writing to you again, skid, but I tried almost every setting with pal version of this game, but it doesn't seem to go ahead from the loading screen! The other games work without any problems, both full images and shrinked, both gcm and gcz! Have You got any suggestions, please?
Users who can use it with no problems could, please, point out here their settings (even with screenshots), and if they use a full image or a shrinked one, specifying if this is .GCZ or .GCM!
Thanks to You and everyone!
Keep up the good work!!!
If I can suggest something, a Dreamcast emulator would be nice, those existing are not as good as Dolphin, and their development seem to be discontinued!!!

Make sure your disc image is 100% correct, a 1:1 byte-for-byte copy of the original disc. Use a tool that can generate an MD5 hash for the game file (WinMD5 is one such program). Once you have the hash compare it with dumps that have been verified on website like Redump.org or GameTDB.com

http://www.gametdb.com/Wii/GVSP8P
http://redump.org/disc/6274/

If your MD5 has is not 2d8c6f6877e838e49352a2e69ac22dab, your dump is corrupt. You'll have to dump from your disc again until the hashes match.

Thank You very much, everything seems to work: I even tried creating a .gcz of the original .gcm (previously shrinked with gcmutility 0.5) and it also work. You saved my "arcade" passion
The compressed iso dimension (GCZ file) has to be 440,7MB.
I think this could be a useful info for everyone who wants to reduce the dimension of this troublesome PAL version game!
