I was making a Mario Kart Wii TAF on Dolphin using a CRUD ton of savestates, two codes (infinite mushroom and speedometer) and 40% slowdown. I was watching the replay of my TAF and everything went smoothly until halfway into the replay where I fall into a pool (Which I don't remember doing) and bumping into a lot of walls. This has only happened a couple of times and so I don't know what repeats the problem.

I think in properties deterministic dual core has to be on fake completion. (Recording and playing)

Yes, this is what's called a desync, and you need to set it to fake-completion. You will also need to backup the save folder for the particular game you're using, as starting from a different save file will also cause a desync, so you need to make a copy of the folder, record your TAF, overwrite the save folder with your copied backup, then replay and record the movie.

I don't usually have to do all that but I'll try

It's possible to get lucky, but unless you enable fake-completion or use single core, running a game will be inherently non-deterministic, so you can't guarantee anything.

OK it works now but it's weird how the replay got messed up halfway in instead of at the beginning.

Like I said, it's random. Who knows when the inputs will desync. Only one needs to go wrong to start a giant chain reaction.

ok setting it to fake completion STILL DIDN'T WORK

Did you make sure you were starting from the same save? You need to back it up and then restore it so that your NAND is the same as when you started recording.
