You should look into it, I'm pretty sure that's what it's doing per my explanation. It says it's DX9, but it exhibits all the behaviors of the DX11 plugin to a tee, such as no EFB to Ram, black textures in NSMB, over glossy/bright textures in Starfox Adventures and the always on Safe Texture Cache. Something isn't right in the code somewhere, and as I mentioned this only started happening after the merge of the configuration dialogs.
Video merge/Shared Dialog Issues

fwiw, no efb to ram and black textures in nsmb sounds like efb copies being disabled altogether no matter what plugin you use..

It exhibits the exact behaviors of the DX11 plugin, I can list everything to a tee that's only an issue with the DX11 plugin:
- Black textures in NSMB - Wrong color or overly glossy/bright textures in Starfox Adventures - EFB to Ram doesn't work - Always on Safe Texture Cache - Other glitches/bugs and issues only the DX11 plugin exhibits 11-22-2010, 03:24 AM

Ok, figured out what it was.
EFB copy is not being enabled when booting a game, so I was wrong. It seems to be an issue with the configuration dialog, in order to fix it for now without needing to constantly open the configuration window I've set EFB copy to "undetermined" in the game configuration. I originally had the box unchecked in the game configuration. 11-22-2010, 03:29 AM

Maybe some other stuff tho 11-22-2010, 04:10 AM
Yeah those didn't do anything either, although I've fixed it for now by setting the checkbox for Disable EFB Copy to "undetermined" for now. Sorry for the ruckus, it's just that the behavior was the same exact issues I was having with the DX11 plugin.

Just use the EFB scale in the new config dialog, it's the same function just renamed...

there are now two places where there's an option for OpenCL: Dolphin Config and the GFX settings dialoque. The latter one doesn't seem to work, i.e. it's set by the other option.
That's also an option that's still missing in the game settings (I guess on the long run, It'd be good to have all options in there, so that game inis can really set everything for a game)

That is the whole point of being able to uncheck the box in the game properties... Setting it to undetermined will use the global settings, which sounds like what you want. |
