So...actually i dunno what is this option...

What is FPS erratic? O.o

Real FPS or showing error in calculate FPS?
Rig:
Cpu: Quad Core Q9550 @2.8Ghz (0% OC)
Ram: 4Gb Ram - Dual Channel Enabled @800Mhz (0% OC)
Vga: Ati Radeon HD5850 1Gb (0% OC)
OS: VVindows 7 x64

That depends on how you look at it. Changing the option will change real fps which will fix/break calculation of displayed gamespeed/fps so that it's more/less accurate depending on whether the option is on/off.

Now I'm curious, syncing up to the SVN to see if I can find it and figure out what it's doing.

EDIT:
Found it, looks like it determines which fields of the screen are being synchronized to catch some key differences between interlace and progressive scan modes. I have no idea why that's important though since my field of expertise is in Direct3D & HLSL for PC, not all that familiar with game console's internal workings.

If you tick the option, you'll get more FPS. (just try it with DKCR)

DKCR already tested... No improvement with VBeam...

look in the second map (1-2). Look FPS in the Waterfall zone.

Mine VPS and FPS are the same with or without VBeam.
