Heya! I've been interested in Gamecube emulation for a while now, but the Nvidia Shield is the only device I own strong enough to run it, so please forgive me if I seem a bit green at this.

So, I've use Dolphin v4.0-8727. Why an old version, you ask? Well that's the main root of my problems. As you may know, the newer 5.0 builds for android do not have controller mapping, and simply ask you to use an older version's config. Not too hard, right? But the controls are my biggest problem. When i use an older version of Dolphin's controller configs, I notice quite a few buttons don't work anymore. So I'm forced to use 4.0 Dolphin. But that's not all, as the 4.0 version of dolphin I have has controller problems too! Here's a small list - ( BTW, using the Shield game controller )
- Players 2-4 never seem to exist no matter what I do. ( And I turn them on and config them. I'm not totally clueless)
- No matter what, my D-pad's up and down, and left and right, are always swapped. That makes games like Tony Hawks Underground and SSX Tricky a pain to play, as I never use inverted controls.
- My right trigger suddenly decides it doesn't want to work on the emulator ( Though it does work with everything else, as I've tested it on other games, like DooM 3 - BFG Edition, and other emulators ) So i have to map it to my left bumper, which is uncomfortable for games like Wind Waker due to muscle memory. ( I set up my controls as accurately to a Gamecube as possible. )
- My right stick ( The C-stick for the Gamecube ) loses the function of its up and down axis, which makes some games unplayable. However, messing about with the config, usually deleting it and remaking it, usually fixs this problem, but none of the other ones.

Random game problem too -
I cannot play Killer7. it plays amazing but I cannot, oddly enough, kill any of the enemies no matter what I do. I've tried looking up walkthroughs, as I thought I was playing it wrong, but no. They're, for some reason, invincible.

Thank you for reading and any help anyone can provide. - Zero

P.S. - Yes, I did remove CPU overclocking, as it says to do so before reporting problems, and it doesn't change anything.

+1, controls mapping on Dolphin 5 for Android would make it somewhat perfect. That's the only issue stopping me from enjoying all Gamecube games on my Shield !

5.0-300 and over should have configurable controls for Android, judging by the comments attached to the commit
AMD Ryzen 7 3700X @ 4.2 GHz | MSI GTX 1070TI 8GB | 32 GB DDR4 @ 3000 MHz | Windows 10 Pro x64 | Dolphin 5.0-10886

That commit is for Overlay Controls, not Hardware Controls.
