Seriously...You won't know unless you're in the same situation as mine . You won't be happy if system run out of memory , program will restart itself and you will lose your data before saving
I had to use 2GB desktop memory with 64bit OS before (I had no choice , one 2GB stick was dead ). It was a terrible terrible experience ( OS run slow and lag everywhere ) even without running game ...
