So I've been messing around with Wii emulation because I think it's really cool to see my "old" games looking great in full HD and stuff, my girlfriend has also taken an interest in the emulation and now we want to play some multiplier games, specifically mario party!
The problem comes with controllers, up until this point I've just been messing around with the Hybrid IR features and stuff, I have a bluetooth dongle that works and detects my wii motes, my problem is that I do not have a wireless sensor bar, what I do have is a Wii U, though! This comes with a wired sensor bar AND the Gamepad has a sensor bar, I would like to know if it's at all possible to use these sensor bars for Dolphin, I know that since all the sensor bar does is provide the IR Leds, nothing more, it should be possible.
I am, however, running into some issues. My main issue is that when I DO get the gamepad to work as a sensor bar, it's for a very small amount of time before it shuts off the IR LEDs, presumably to save battery power. To fix this I would have to have a wiimote connected to the WiiU at all times (something I can't do, as I've only got two wiimotes)
I haven't been having much success with using just the Sensor bar and not the gamepad, though I haven't done too much testing with it yet. I decided it would probably be easier to see if anyone else has done this, I assume someone has at least tried.
Thank you for your time.
