I did snoop around, but one of my problems when searching is that the keywords are too generic i.e "Dolphin", "save", "Wii" or "console", so the search result returns tons of pages.

Can you use the Wii saves in Dolphin? I played Monster Hunter Tri for quite a while on my console, and I totally do not want to redo all that on PC. I mainly just want to see if the PC is preferable, what's with the keyboard and all.
Oh gosh, apology. I should have actually check out Dolphin before making this topic.

1. Put SD card in wii
2.Select "Wii Settings" from the Wii menu. You will see the icon on the bottom left of the menu screen. Select "Data Management," "Save Data," and then the "Wii" tab.
3. Choose the file you want to save to your memory card by selecting "Copy." Then select "Yes" to "Copy to SD Card
4. In Dolphin goto Tools>Wii save import.
5. Choose the file!
Cool

Cool, thanks! and i take it you can do this without faffing using an unmolested wii?

I have just ripped my supermario galaxy and if i can get away without starting from scratch all the better.

I googled for the answer also, and most of the responses involved having a dodgy exploit installed on the console.

Using the homebrew save game manager is possible too. That really only applies to games that are flagged with "no copy".

This is a start.

Open Google, type:

"wii how to install homebrew channel"

And you're on a good start to find out how.

I used my Indiana Jones Original Adventures game and a special save game to install it on my Wii, but the methods varies due to which Wii Firmware you have.
