Using the new hid-wiimote linux kernel driver

I didn't get my wiimote paired under ubuntu using the cwiid userspace driver so i tried to compile the new kernel driver (see here: https://github.com/dvdhrm/xwiimote).
Now the wiimote is paired and shown as a hid device but it's not recognised by dolphin.
Is there a way to make it work?
