Hello friends. Normally, there is a .kext one can use to manipulate a driver in Macs that allows you to use the GC controller adapter for WiiU in Dolphin. It's pretty standard practice. HOWEVER, normally, it seems like it requires a computer restart; this is the code:
sudo cp -r ~/Downloads/SmashEnabler.kext /Library/Extensions/SmashEnabler.kext
sudo chown -R root:wheel /Library/Extensions/SmashEnabler.kext
sudo touch /Library/Extensions
sudo reboot
Anyway, I'm using a loaner computer from my university's library this semester, which deletes all user data upon shut-down. In other words, if it restarts, all the data is lost and the .kext trick won't work.
So, essentially I need help figuring out a way (if it's even possible) to use the GC adapter on Mac without restarting the computer. Before you suggest taking out the sudo reboot line of code, I tried that and it didn't work.
Thanks a bunch!
