Using PS3 controller as Wii Mote, problem with analog sticks

Have been playing Super Mario Galaxy 2 on dolphin with a PS3 controller as my Wii mote, and set the movement of the on screen cursor to right analog stick. My problem is that when I move the analog stick and then let go, the cursor snaps back to the middle just as the stick does on the controller.

My question is:
Instead of the Wii mote position being linked to position of analog stick, can I have it accelerate in the direction I push and have it remember its position when I let go?
I want to just move the cursor out of the way and leave it there until I need to use it.
Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately, this isn't possible at the moment. Many users already asked about this feature but it remains unimplemented at the moment...
