An idea.

The use of Ps2 plug ins to be an option for a dev versions of dolphin.

Graphics plug ins and Controller plug ins - sound ???

I am a fan of using the plug-ins with pcsx and older emulators. I like to tweak certain aspects...

Got to love tweaking..

Sorry if been ask this before.

Even if Dolphin did still use plug-ins, Dolphin and PCSX2 are two different emulators for two different consoles. The code in each project is simply too different to expect compatibilty.

But wouldn't it give the user more advantaged ?, the use of over devices ? some of the features in these plug ins enable a user to do more with emulators.

Possible speed increases, sound fixes, the ability to tweak.

I understand your point.

Just seeing this as from an advantaged side.

You're not understanding the other side of the story. Plugins can cause tons of issues that lead to development hell and slow development along with fracturing the userbase and causing all kinds of a mess for the emulator itself.

Just didn't think that it would be hard to implement such a plug-in. Was overseeing the ability too reproduced and implement.

Would be cool to use Gsdx and dvd, iso plug ins.

Never mind, was just an idea wanted to share.

You do realize just because an emulator works with plugins doesn't mean it will work with any plugin. PCSX2 plugins would not have any compatibility whatsoever with Dolphin.

I realize of course, if they not compatible (then their not)

Some tamping, hacking, i had this in mind. Time consuming testing and all over aspects.

Not worth messing with - understood.

It's just that if you want certain functionality in Dolphin that PCSX2 has in one of its plugins (like GSDX's custom resolutions) it's better to implement custom resolutions in Dolphin directly rather than using a plugin at all. If it's more options you want, ask for more options to be put in Dolphin's Config, Graphics, DSP or other menus.
