Using my DS4 Controller Through Steam Link

Just got myself a Steam Link and am now trying to straighten out any kinks in the setup.

I have my Gamecube games (Melee, MarioParty7, Batallion Wars) added to steam and they launch through big picture mode like I want them to.

However, I am very confused on what programs I should use, configs i need to set up, etc. to keep the DS4 controller working when Dolphin takes over after title launch through Steam. I know that Dolphin has an extensive config menu, but would I need a bluetooth adapter plugged into my PC for that to work?

With all my GBA/NDS titles, things were much simpler and i was able to get them to work using the config setup in Steam.
If possible, I would like to do my GC games in a similar fashion; built-in bluetooth on the Steam Link all the way!

Could you guys let me know the most effective solution for you? I am ok with buying an adapter to plug into my PC or downloading additional programs (like DS4Windows) if necessary, but would like to keep things as simple as I can.

Thank you!
