Hey all.

So I decided to purchase this bundle off newegg, along with the Dolphinbar off Amazon for my computer.. Instructions were pretty vague for setup, and I was never able to get the remote to actually register pressing "A" or any button. I used dolphin 3.5, 4.0, and the very latest x64 version available of this day. I was able to get it to where scanning or refreshing would vibrate the controller showing its connected, but it was never able to get past the mario kart title screen or skip any intro text.

What are the proper steps in getting this to work? Is the controller a sham?

Do you have the V2 or V3 firmware installed for the Dolphinbar?

Its a 3rd party remote, so it may be hit or miss.

Im not sure. Re installing doesn't show any version number, and I cannot find it in drivers installed. I did just get the bar so I would assume v3?

Grab the latest firmware in MayFlash Download Page and update your Dolphin Bar. Remember that fake/3rd party wiimotes are hit or miss, most of them won't work at all. To ensure compatibility, use genuine Nintendo wiimotes...

EDIT: looks like we have a new firmware for Dolphin Bar, v4, released some days ago...

Thank you, I'll see if that will work when I return home. By chance is there a list of supported 3rd party controllers or "reliable" ones rated by the community?

As far as I remember, no. We had a list of compatible bluetooth adapters somewhere in the forums, if that helps (too lazy to search)...
