I'm playing Fire Emblem, a gamecube game. It has a debug mode, which I have open. I'm trying to find the address for movement. I select a player and his movement is set to 6. I do a search with Cheats Manager and find a large number of addresses, which I know is normal, I change the value in the debug to 7 do a search and the number of addresses goes down to 16 and now the player can move 7 squares. I change the value to 8, do a search and all the addresses are removed, yet the player can move 8 squares. What am I doing wrong? I'm sure that the changed value of movement is somewhere in memory. I just don't understand why all the address disappear when the value is somewhere in the game memory. |
