Use multiple instances of dolphin with multiple WiiU GC adapters?

I'd like to connect multiple instances of Dolphin on a single PC together with the BBA, for Mario Kart Double Dash. Are there any unexpected issues with plugging in multiple adapters and each instance using a separate one?

Have not tried this yet, but I'd love to know if someone has before I track down some more adapters.

I think your main problem here is not going to be with the controller adapters, but with how badly BBA emulation works on Windows.

I guess Windows isn't a hard requirement. Would this work under Linux then?

Yeah, BBA works significantly better on Linux.

The ability to use separate adapters for separate Dolphin instances was added in 4.0-8743 and should still work, but I haven't tested it personally.

afaik if you plug in multiple adapters each dolphin instance will select one, but don't ask me how it chooses which one.
As Jos said, don't do BBA in Windows because it just doesn't work well. However, you will have to compile Dolphin yourself for Linux...
