USB Ports disabled while using Dolphin?

The other day I had downloaded and installed Dolphin, after playing a game for about 3-4 hours my USB ports were suddenly disabled.
At first I shrugged it off and set it aside because I had played the game for a while and went to bed as it was getting late anyways, however when I rebooted my Laptop and ran Dolphin it disabled my USB ports again.

Since I am in a computer repair class I went through several steps of trouble shooting, made sure everything was plugged in, checked device manager to see if anything was outdated or malfunctioning, restarted the computer, uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them, re-installed Dolphin, yelled at it in three different languages, all to no avail.

Then it dawned on me that it was Dolphin that disabled the USB Ports, so I went back into Device Manager and disabled my USB Drivers and ports to disable themselves and tried Dolphin again. Unfortunately that didn't work either.

I would much prefer not to have to use a different Emulator and I'm hoping there is a fix that I simply overlooked because I really have no idea why the ports keep disabling.

Dolphin is a pretty demanding app so, my theory here is that while running Dolphin, your CPU, GPU and whatever are running at near 100%, so, power demand is high. Maybe there is an issue with your Battery/Charger that can't supply enough power while running Dolphin, disabling the USB ports... I'm suggesting this because I already found the same issue with a desktop and the problem was on the Power Supply Unit...

That sounds likely, though it has happened after letting Dolphin sit without a game or anything running on it open.

I'll give it a try again with just Dolphin open and see if that helps any.

Unfortunately that didn't seem to do it. Even though I had about 74% CPU free and a little over 4GB of RAM free it disabled my USB Ports.

It's strange because it had ran perfectly fine for hours when I first had installed Dolphin, then out of the blue it disabled them.

Well, in this case your OS maybe messed up... I don't have more suggestions, try formatting your PC (if you can)...
