I have noticed that Dolphin has a setting to emulate a USB Gecko by going to Settings -> GameCube and setting "Slot B" to "USB Gecko". But how do I actually use this?

On a Wii, I'd start a Windows VM, make VirtualBox connect the USB device to the VM, and then start Gecko dNet or any other USB Gecko software in the Windows VM (as none of these are available on Linux).

However, on Dolphin, enabling this "USB Gecko" setting doesn't seem to do anything. /dev/ttyUSB0 doesn't exist, no virtual USB device (lsusb) to forward to the VM exists. How do I access this emulated USB Gecko in the Windows VM, or, how do I even access it at all?

EDIT: I found out that Dolphin opens the TCP port 55020 for the virtual Gecko. But how do I connect that to Virtualbox which expects a proper USB device so the tools insode the VM can use it?
