So i was playing monster hunter tri and decided to get a gamepad, i feel uncomfortable with keyboard controls and i couldn't even kill a barroth. anyway, i bought this usb gamepad and configured dolphin through the wiimote. err... i don't know if i made it right but it works. the only problem are the left and right axis. it seems that it detects the left axis as the d-pad too, so they are both axis X & Y. i don't know why. and also the right axis is detected as buttons 1,2,3, and 4... which is kinda weird. this is why i couldn't use the right axis since they are both buttons 1,2,3, and 4.

i tried this: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=383548

i created two keys for the right axis in my registry. after this, i calibrated my controller in control panel>>game controllers, but still the axis detects the same buttons. what should i dooooooooo Sad

Did you turn analog mode on? First, delete the keys that you created on Registry, then press the Analog button (a LED will light up) and try again... I have two gamepads like this, the right axis never work if Analog is turned off. Also, when you turn Analog On, the D-Pad wil now be recognised as the "point of view hat"...

I would guess that your gamepad has a physical button to toggle the "left stick is also the dpad" option.

If it is a generic PS2 controller for USB, the Analog button fix this...

Did you deleted the registry keys that you have created? If yes, try reinstalling the drivers that came with your controller... You can also try this driver or this... Both of them works with my generic joystick, and the analog LED doesn't turn on if I use only the default Windows drivers...
