Hey gang,

I recently purchased a CirKa Gamecube USB Gamepad for use with Dolphin.
Dolphin will recognize all the Gamepad functions while setting up the configuration and I have also
tested the gamepad online as a second opinion. All functions seem to work fine.

The problem is when I load up an ISO I get zero response as if the Gamepad were not hooked up at all (but of course it is).

Does anyone have any suggestions as to something specific I might try doing to get this to work?

Thanks in advance. Big Grin

What game are you trying to play? Can you post a screenshot of the controller settings?

This may seem similar to a same problem I had before @ https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-solved-unable-to-use-an-emulated-controller-on-dolphin-linux
They may be linked to one another because of Apple OSX running an open-source Kernel like Linux does

Embarrassingly I'm not entirely sure how to upload a screenshot onto this message board ... lol ...

But I have checked multiple sources and am positive that the gamepad is connected and being picked up.
Just not during emulation which is when it counts...

Reboot, I followed your link but don't understand the instructions on how to acquire the needed version of Dolphin for the fix.

What game are you trying to play, and what type of emulated controller did you configure?

I have tried playing 3 different titles, Soul Calibur 2, Windwaker, and Tubeslider.

I configure Gamecube Controller Port 1 as a Standard Controller using Pad number 1 and selecting my device as
Input/0/NGC USB Gamepad.

From there I assign all of the parameters to their counterparts on the gamepad itself which appears to work fine. All buttons
register and remain responsive while on the configuration page.

Up to this point everything seems to be working normally until as previously stated I run emulation and no controls work.

Any ideas gang? Troubleshoots? Workarounds? Any elaboration on what Reboot previously posted?

Thanks.

Just tested out the gamepad in OPENEMU and it works flawlessly. This is obviously an issue with Dolphin itself and not the gamepad.
