Hello, I've been trying to get "Star Fox: Assault" working for 2 days now. I have a USB GameCube controller, not an adapter. Every button works except for the L-Analog and R-Analog controls, or the inputs that result from pressing the left and right triggers lightly. This cripples most of the games I would like to play using Dolphin.

Attached is a picture of my configuration.

Thanks!

Can you list the controller? My guess is it doesn't have analog triggers.

What controller is it? Hopefully not a RetroLink USB Controller...

Oh, and

*waves her magic moderator wand*

Moved to controllers!

Oh, didn't expect you guys to reply so soon!
I can't find specific information, but here's the link I bought it from.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MEF94O6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The product information claims it has "8 completely analog action buttons," whatever that's meant to mean. Don't know exactly how reliable amazon product details can be.

Are the L/R axis or buttons when you configure them? You can also view the controller in windows to see how many button/axis it has.

I'm pretty sure they're buttons. Their respective controls are labeled as such in the screenshot I attached. Sorry if this isn't what you meant.

Yeah, I couldn't see the attachment before, looks like you can't use them as analog.

So, should I buy a different controller? If so, do you have any in mind?

If you want something easy, then Xbox One controllers are a great pick! They are fantastic controllers (unlike the 360 ones which have some flaws) and they are plug and play without drivers on Windows 8 and 10! And they are great for PC gaming too. Genuine GameCube controllers are a great pick as well, though a little more complicated to set up the drivers for and a little less flexible.

If you want something super cheap, then, check out 360 controllers in Gamestop or a local game store. They are really inexpensive these days, they are really easy to use, and while they have flaws (bad dpads and a general feeling of sponge) they are still pretty good controllers that are far far better than any random generic ones.

Alright, thanks! I don't understand why someone would manufacture a controller that's missing two of its buttons.
