I've narrowed my issue down to Dolphin's compatibility with the USB/BT Joystick Center App, which takes your physical gamepad (in my case wired xbox 360 ctrlr) and converts its signals into essentially keyboard input (changes input method on your phone from keyboard to joystick IME). This app is successful in making incompatible devices to your native phone compatible. I can bind my controller to any other emulator with the app. In Dolphin, I can navigate the menu with my controller with the left analog stick which makes sense because USB/BT Joystick converts that stick to DPAD L,R,Up,Down. But, I can't select anything using the controller, and most importantly, I am unable to bind my controller buttons to the Dolphin input mapping. I hope you devs can take this info and use it to your advantage. I check back regularly so if you have anymore specific questions, I'll be glad to reply. Thanks for bringing Gamecube/Wii to DROID!

Dont have your solution but I was curios if you considered the OTG cable option? I never heard of the USB/BT Joystick Center App i'll have to check that out myself.

Dolphin natively supports normal controllers, including the wired 360 'pad via a USB OTG adapter (which Sonicadvance1 himself has tested). Get that app you're using out of the way to fix it. (Especially if it actually *is* converting gamepad input to keyboard input, 'cause then the sticks are gonna be constrained to eight directions and you can't lightly press in a direction.)
Also, I don't think Dolphin for Android is really usable yet. Sure, it's got controller support, but the JIT has numerous subtle hidden issues that break games and the GLES3 backend doesn't work properly on 90% of the phones that have GLES3 support. And if it *does* work decently, it's gonna be pretty damn slow anyway.

Thanks for the help. I have the new LG G2, sporting the snapdragon 800 it runs gamecube games in the intro smoothly. BTW, I am using the OTG USB cable, and the only reason I'm using the BT/USB Joystick Center app is because my phone for whatever reason does not support the wired 360 controller with its native software (flashing to different firmwares voids warranty, but might provide that solution). I'll explore the LG G2 forums and see if anyone else found a way to get the phone to be compatible.

Yeah, flash a stock Android/CyanogenMod ROM. The stock ROM is invariably awful and has spotty support for random little things like 360 'pads.
