So, I'm upgrading to Haswell - half because I'd like to improve my Dolphin performance in the few games I can't run full speed, and the other half because it's about time I get an i7 - I didn't figure Ivy was enough of an upgrade, and I'd like to have every bit of performance I can get since my "job" is a Let's Player, and half my videos I render in 1080p VBR - even with a 2500k, a 30min video takes about an hour at that quality. Anyways, my current specs are in my signature, and I'll be reusing (I assume) everything except the motherboard and CPU of course.
First question, though - will my Hyper N520 work with the i7 4770K? I've assumed it will as LGA1150 seems to be pretty similar bracket size - I mean if anything I'll just need to buy a little convertor, right? Other question - any suggestions on what motherboard to get, and if I should bother upgrading my RAM? I've had 8GB of RAM since I built the computer and I'm kind of anxious to upgrade, since 32GB seems to be so cheap now but even then, I'm not sure if it's in the budget. Lastly - does anyone know of a nice site where I could sell my motherboard off to trusty people? I've been scammed before on Amazon and eBay, and because of my social awkwardness (they both require you to call in) I haven't been able to get unbanned. Overclock.net has been a pretty good place otherwise - it's actually where I got my limited edition 7970, but in order to sell there you have to have 30 rep + which really, even with close to 50 posts I only have about 2 rep. So, yeah, any suggestions on that? I've got an ASUS P8P67 Pro and 8GB Patriot Viper Extreme 1866MHz RAM, but I doubt anyone here wants it (if anyone even does) I'm selling my 2500K for $155 to a friend, so that'll cover about a third or so of the total cost.
