So I'm planning on upgrading my current build (in my siggy) to a new cpu. I want to stay relatively future proof so I think I am going to go with the i5 4670k. I would go with the i3 4130 however again I want to stay future proof and am only looking at quad core cpu's. From what I've heard I should go with the Z87 board, but I need a micro ATX board to compliment my case. So which should I choose?

I'd go with a Z97 Board instead. An i5 4670k will be fine for mostly everything though.

So should I wait for the i5 4690k or just get the 4670k?

i5 4690k all the way . i5 4670k sucks at overclocking
If i5 4690k is as good as i5 2500k then 5.0GHz won't be hard to achieve
With i5 4670k , you will be stuck at 4.2GHz . If you're very lucky to get a good chip then 4.6GHz may be possible
