Hello. I have a bit of a specific question. I have been playing a game that is the non-updated version. Apparently to get the update for this game, you would have had to at any point accessed the Wii shop channel, then launch the multiplayer option within the game. It would then automatically install the updates. I have looked for solutions to try and get these updates to apply to my game on Dolphin, and had no luck. Is this something that would be possible to do? If so, how?

what game is this exactly?
even if you can access the Wii shop channel because you will probably not get the update, since most of the features have been disabled in 2019. 02-11-2022, 02:06 AM
The game is Call of Duty: Black Ops. As far as I can tell, if you've ever accessed the shop channel, then opened the game and went to multiplayer with that account, the update would start. I've only been able to find what seems like the vanilla, unupdated version.

If you import a NAND dump from a real Wii, you can access the Wii Shop Channel: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=NAND_Usage_Guide
I don't know if the update servers for this game are still up or not, but if they are, this would be the way to go. 02-11-2022, 10:11 AM
Thank you very much for the information. I was able to find a patch. It wasn't directly what you suggested, but it did lead me in the right direction. I don't believe it to be the latest patch put out for the game, but that is ok. I am satisfied with what I've found. Once again, thanks for your assistance (:
