I have been playing smg 2 and enjoying it but my version of the emulator is R5634 and i see there is R5832. How do i update without losing my settings and gampad buttons.
Laptop: ASUS G73JH-TZ008V / Intel i7-720QM 1.60 GHz / 8GB (DDR3 1066MHZ) / ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 with 1GB / Intel X25-M Mainstream 80GB ssd/ Seagate Momentus 500GB / Windows 7 Home Premium Edition 64-bit

Simply copy the user folder contents, or if you wish to complicate things.. copy the Wii and GC folders located within the user folder.

So i copy the new user and gc foler into my old build.

I think you do a opposite thing...
If you copy whole User will also replace OpenCL.
You should only copy your User/Config,User/GC and User/Wii FROM OLD INTO NEW build.

Actually, Wii game save is in:
User/Wii/title
But you can copy whole User/Wii.
User/GC <-GC game save
User/Config <-Configuration
